Has a national or governmental CERT been established? Yes The Austrian govCERT constituency is the public administration of the country of Austria, this includes federal, state, cities and municipalities and organisations with a majority government involvement.
Is the CERT fully operational? Yes operational since 2008. Tasks of the govCERT - Bundling of ICT security expertise in public administration - Proactive and Reactive Assistance in case of cyber-incidents - Technical cyber incident and crisis coordination in case of major incident attacks - Monitoring public cyber networks, websites … - ICT emergency system in case of a network breakdown - ICT-firebrigade for the public administration - Participation in cyber-security research projects - Permanent contact to national and international CERT- networks - Support of a national CERT-consortium
Does the CERT participate in international CERT communities/initiatives? Yes Participation in European Government CERT Group (EGC), Member of Trusted Introducer, FIRST,… Participation in International Cyber Exercises and many more
