Member States to agree a common list of key cross-border public services

Indicator Status Evidence
Have you identified priority key cross-border public services that correspond to well defined needs? Yes E-Delivery. The services proposed by the Commission are acceptable in principle to serve as good examples for important cross border public services. We however do not see the urgent need for defining (only) sector-specific services as proposed by the Commission. E-delivery for example could serve as key model of a cross-border service with huge impact and which is not restricted to a specific field of activity. Key enablers therefore may be more promising than sector-specific services.
Have you agreed/committed by 2011 on a common list of key cross-border services that correspond to well defined needs? No At Ministerial Roundtable in Poznan in November 2011, 5 key cross-border services were identified. Agreement with Member States planned for the second half of 2012.
Have you implemented or do you have concrete plans to implements cross-border services? Yes All our basic building blocks are planned in a way to be used cross-border and interoperability is in principle part of the design process.
