Member States to double annual public spending on ICT research and development

Have your ICT R&D expenditure risen by 10% or more per annum in public spending in last 3 available years? No
Is ICT R&D a dedicated area in your Research and Development programme (either as a separate programme or a part of general R&D programme)? Yes National Research programme ”Development of Innovative Multifunctional Materials, Signal Processing and Information Technologies for Competitive Science Intensive Products” is one of five national research programmes in the prioritized scientific areas for the years 2010 to 2013:
Has the total ICT R&D spending (private and public) risen by 10% per annum in the last 3 available years? No
Have the number of ICT researchers grown by at least 10% per annum in the last available 3 years? No
Are there targeted allocations of Structural Funds on ICT R&D? Yes Applied research projects in scientific research priority areas, incl. ICT projects. In 2011 the National Level Research Centre (NLRC) of Information, Communication and Signal Processing Technologies was established in order to promote scientific excellence, concentration of scientific infrastructure, science commercialisation in this field. The NLRC is a form of cooperation between scientific institutions to concentrate science resources for European level research in priority research areas.
