Does the Member State have a National Interoperability Framework? Yes The principles of National NIF are set by Law on State Information Systems and consequent regulations. The purpose of the Law on State Information Systems is to ensure the accessibility of information provided by State and local government institutions and the quality of the State Information Systems. Regulations on Procedures for the Establishment, Maintenance and Activities of the State Information Systems Integrators and Procedures for Ensuring of the Functioning of State Information Systems within the Framework of Integrated State Information Systems prescribes the procedures for the establishment, maintenance and activities of the State information systems integrators, as well as the procedures by which the functioning of State information systems shall be ensured within the framework of integrated State information systems, using an integrator. The portal of Integrated State Information System maintained by State Reginal Development Agency provides co-ordination and implementation of NIF principles in developing/updating State Information Systems and electronic services (https://ivis.eps.gov.lv/ivisportal/). Have public administrations aligned their national interoperability frameworks with the European Interoperability Framework? Yes Point of Single Access of Integrator of State information systems (VISS, https://ivis.eps.gov.lv) provides the alignment of the NIF with the European Interoperability Framework. Does the NIF take into account the European dimension of public service delivery? Yes The European dimension of public service delivery is taken into account according to the concept of Point of Single Access: (http://www.mk.gov.lv/lv/mk/tap/?pid=40176220&mode=mk&date=2011-08-02). Project on Crossboder information exchange on Social security information (according to regulation 29.04.2004 (EC) 883/2004) – development initiated.
Is IPv6 supported? Yes There are no infringements on technological development, nor legal abridgements set in Latvia for use of IPv6.
