Is e-learning present in national programmes and action plans? Yes Special Strategy and Programme on ICT Implementation in Education exists for 2008-2012, and a new Strategy and Programme are under preparation.
Is e-learning present in national curricula? Yes e-learning is present in national curriculum: Primary Education, Basic Education, Secondary Education
Are there training initiatives (for teachers, enterprises) using eLearning tools on the national level? Yes There is a number of national scale teacher training projects partly funded by European Social Fund, e.g. Implementation of ICT Competence Model Primary and Special Needs Education, Improvement of Learning Choice Possibilities for 14-19 Years Students, Learning Content Dissemination Model
Are there dissemination initiatives for awareness raising in place? Yes There are special dissemination strategies planned and implemented in all e-learning projects. National Education Portal exists for educational information including dissemination initiatives
Are there national projects on creative classrooms and creative learning environments in place? Yes Lithuania participates in iTEC (Innovative Technologies for an Engaging Classroom) – a four-year, pan-European 7FP project focused on the design of the future classroom, There is also Learning Content Dissemination Model – ESF-funded project aimed at creating ICT-rich learning environment (learning objects and methodical tools) at schools
