Member States to develop national broadband plans

Do you have a National Broadband Plan which specifies a set of measurable broadband targets or will you have such a plan in place before 31st December 2012? Yes An internal broadband plan is in place. This will be published very shortly.
Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 100% broadband coverage by 2013? Yes Target already achieved. 4 Mbps connection established as USO.
Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 100% coverage over 30Mbps by 2020? Yes Target achieved.
Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 50% of households to have subscriptions over 100 Mbps by 2020? Yes However this depends on state aid approval for a Government subsidy designed to ensure roll-out of Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) in Malta.
Have supportive measures been introduced to support the achievement of National Broadband Plan targets? Yes Government is committed to making available a grant of up to € 50 Million as a subsidy to ensure roll out of FTTH subject to state aid approval.
