Yes The MCC is the police alert platform where the public can report illicit online content regarding child pornography, sex tourism and terrorism. Another website on safe internet, http://www.nederlandveilig.nl/veiliginternetten/id-alert/, provides the id-alert service for checking the use of personal data personal data online. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC): https://www.ncsc.nl/english (previously GOVCERT, www.govcert.nl) provides 24/7 assistance, to government bodies. The 24/7 help of the NCSC for ICT security incidents consists of: • intake of incidents by specialists • advice on dealing with ICT incidents • on-site support from technical staff • use of specialized software for logging and combating ICT incidents • support from crisis communication and press briefing • support from management by experienced incident response managers • analysis of malicious software (malware) detected at the constituents, to determine the nature and seriousness of an infection The NCSC also provides security advisory and monitoring services.
Does it compile statistics on alerts, thus tracking the development of cybercrime at national level? No Trend reports are however provided on the website of the NCSC that provide the course of a macro-development which maintains a societal impact within a term of 3 to 5 years. Where possible, the trends are based on specific and demonstrable data, although this is found to be challenging for certain topics such as digital espionage and cyber warfare due to their surreptitious nature.
