Member States to include specifications for total lifetime costs for public lighting in public procurement

Are there national specifications public procurement for energy efficient lighting, through implementation of the Directive 2006/32/EC? Yes The Netherlands has set ambitious government level targets for green public procurement (GPP) that apply to all product groups (including lighting) and is known as a front runner in this respect. These targets increase progressively over time and aim to achieve 100% GPP at central level. Yes Technology foundation STW and Philips started a 5 year scientific research programme in 2012 on lighting efficiency.
