Member States to agree on common additional functionalities for smart meters

Has the NRA (or country) conducted a cost benefit analysis on the roll-out of smart metering for electricity? Yes In December 2008 the Energy Regulatory office (UKE) presented Feasibility study on Smart Metering in Poland and presented a timetable for a rollout within 10 years.
Does the Cost Benefit Analysis cover the 10 functionalities as per the European Commission Recommendations ? Yes CBA was run on all 10 functionalities (Functionality - Provide readings directly to the customer and any third party designated by the consumer done partially).
Was the Cost Benefit Analysis positive in relation to the above-mentioned functionalities ? Yes All the functionalities were evaluated positively. See: Set of common functional requirements of the SMART METER report.

Other initiatives:

Web platform - Information Platform on Smart Metering http://www.piio.pl/, The Energy Regulatory Office prepared list of functionalities for Advanced Metering Systems (http://www.piio.pl/opracowanie_standardow_wymagan_technicznych_dla_urzadzen_klasy_AMI.php), National energy platform and smart grid consortium were founded in November 2010 to support the implementation. Energa, RWE Stoen, EnergiaPro, Enea are carrying out pilot projects.
