Indicator Status Evidence
Do you have a National Interoperability Framework? Yes Please check the information available in the Join Up website: http://joinup.ec.europa.eu/sites/default/files/NIFO%20-%20Factsheet%20Portugal.pdf
Have public administrations aligned their national interoperability frameworks with the European Interoperability Framework? No Although that alignment is not totally concluded, the new ICT Agenda within the Public Administration foresees, in its measure 11, the mandatory use of interoperability norms and of the national interoperability platform. All of it is in line with the EIF. See the new ICT Agenda with the Public Administration here: http://www.ama.pt/images/ama%20%2820120320%29%20pgtic%20-%20council%20of%20ministers%20resolution.pdf
Does your National Interoperability Framework take into account the European dimension of public service delivery? Yes The national interoperability framework is in line with the European interoperability architecture.

Best Practice Case

Portugal has a national interoperability platform, which assumes shared services as an instrument to boost the communication between the different public services and to share services. On the other hand, within the new ICT rationalization agenda for Public Administration, the measure 11 foresees the mandatory use of the interoperability platform.
