Indicator Status Evidence
Have you made 900Mhz, 1800Mhz, 2,5-2,69 GHz and 3,4-3,8 GHz frequency bands available and authorised for 3rd and 4th generation mobile services use? Yes • ANCOM President’s Decision no.168/2010 on the harmonisation of the use of the pairs of radio frequency bands 880-915 MHz, 925-960 MHz, 1710-1747.5 MHz and 1805-1842.5 MHz • The Romanian NRA is organising in 2012 the auction for the usage rights of the radio frequencies in the 800, 900, 1800 and 2600 MHz bands in view of the provision of mobile communications services until 2029. • A strategy for the development of BWA services in the 2500-2690 MHz and 790-862 MHz frequency bands will also be adopted. • A strategy for the implementation of BWA systems in Romania in the frequency band 3.4–3.8 GHz will be adopted.
Have you authorised (or plan to authorise in 2012) for use ("licensing") of the digital dividend (800 MHz band) for wireless broadband communication??
Have you implemented the transfer or leasing of right of use in the harmonised bands? No • The Romanian primary legislation in the field of electronic communications contains provisions regarding the possibility of partial spectrum trading for specific bands decided by the NRA. • Full implementation will be made by means of secondary legislation
