Member States to develop national broadband plans

Do you have a National Broadband Plan which specifies a set of measurable broadband targets or will you have such a plan in place before 31st December 2012? Yes Ninety per cent of all households and businesses should have access to broadband at a minimum speed of 100 Mbps in 2020. Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 100% broadband coverage by 2013? Yes According to the Broadband Strategy for Sweden all households and businesses should have good opportunities to use electronic public services with broadband access. In October 2011 only 800 households and businesses had no access whatsoever to broadband. Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 50% of households to have subscriptions over 100 Mbps by 2020? No
Have supportive measures been introduced to support the achievement of National Broadband Plan targets? Yes The Government has proposed several initiatives in the Broadband Strategy and several initiatives have been implemented, for example: - The Government has launched a Broadband Forum to work towards the objectives of the Broadband Strategy.
