Member States to develop national broadband plans

Do you have a National Broadband Plan which specifies a set of measurable broadband targets or will you have such a plan in place before 31st December 2012? No Norway is currently in the process of developing our own national Digital Agenda, and broadband targets and actions is expected to constitute an important part of this Norwegian national digital agenda. This is expected to be published before 31.12.2012
Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 100% broadband coverage by 2013? Yes Norway has 99,7 % coverage for basic broadband (640 kbit/s)
Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 100% coverage over 30Mbps by 2020? No
Does the Plan meet the European Commission's Digital Agenda for Europe target for 50% of households to have subscriptions over 100 Mbps by 2020? No
Have supportive measures been introduced to support the achievement of National Broadband Plan targets? Yes The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development and the Ministry og Government Administration, Reform and Church Affairs provide have up till now provided public funding for broadband development. The actual projects are handled by the local governments and municipalities. National broadband funding is considered in the national budgeting process on a year by year basis
