Member States to implement European Interoperability Framework

Do you have a National Interoperability Framework? Yes In 2006 the Bulgarian National Interoperability Framework (NIF) was adopted by the Bulgarian Council of Ministers. The Framework will be revised under the project on Upgrading Existing and Constructing New Central e-Government Systems, in order to improve information and communications environment for better administrative service to citizens and businesses, funded by the Operational Programme Administrative Capacity. The project is currently being implemented and it is planned to be completed in 2015.
Have public administrations aligned their national interoperability frameworks with the European Interoperability Framework? Yes A new national interoperability framework is under preparation according to EIF v2.0. The Bulgarian interoperability framework determines the state policy concerning the interoperability of the information systems of the state administrations and is harmonized with the European Interoperability Framework.
Does your National Interoperability Framework take into account the European dimension of public service delivery? Yes The Bulgarian NIF is strongly aligned with the EIF on the ‘conceptual model’and the‘interoperability levels’ and takes into account the European dimension of public service delivery http://www.mtitc.government.bg/upload/docs/en_ORDINFORMATION_SECURITY.pdf
