Member States to carry out cyber attack simulations

Have cyber attack simulations been carried out? Yes Participation in the Cyber Europe 2010 exercise (organised by ENISA) Participation in different NATO cyber defence exercises (Baltic Cyber Shield, NATO Cyber Coalition). In addition to international exercises, Estonia held a national cyber attack emergency exercise Cyber Fever in January 2012.
Are you planning to carry out cyber attack simulations in the future? Yes Estonia organizes regular cyber security exercises, as well as participates in EU and NATO cyber exercises. A national cyber exercise on the highest cabinet level took place in January 2012, a technical exercise took place in June 2012. Further minor national exercises with specific vital service sector counterparts are panned to continue throughout the year. Estonia is also participating in EU cyber exercise Cyber Europe 2012 in October and NATO cyber exercise Cyber Coalition 2012 and the cyber element of CMX 12.

Other initiatives:

Estonia has a national cyber incident contingency planned approved since 2011. Contingency plans in critical service sectors also take into account incidents that may occur due to a cyber threat. All contingency plans are NOT available for release. National cyber security strategy is also adopted since 2008
